I've edited /etc/security/limits.conf in order to allow a user to renice processes.
In limits.conf :
@erron - nice -10 # values from -10 to 19 allowed
@erron - rtprio 9 # values from 1 to 99 allowed
But renicing Xorg still fails with permission denied, and is only possible using sudo.
Is it possible somehow to allow a normal user to renice Xorg?

Re: Allowing a user to renice Xorg
Try Arch instead, that runs X rootless
I think testing/unstable also does this.
