Replicate shadow password.

Postby banderas20 » 2017-03-05 18:23

Hi all.

I know that user passwords are stored in /etc/shadow.

What I want is obtain the same result on the command line by providing the original password.

¿Any help?

Thanks!

The query term you're looking for is linux password hash

(Verified as providing the answer at duckduckgo, google, startpage, and bing)

Yes, I have already tried so, but the results provided by every command don't match that in my /etc/shadow file.

Hence my question.

Thanks.
