There is only one Debian | Do not break Debian | Stability and Debian | Backports

Thank you Ardouos for the link :)

I am confused in this step
How should I configure this

FQDN
A valid FQDN is necessary for Kerberos and AD. Edit the local host file so that it is resolvable.

Location: /etc/hosts

127.0.0.1 linux.test.server.com localhost linux

/etc/hosts
ought to look similar to this

127.0.0.1 localhost.localdomain localhost
192.168.1.100 server.domain.com server

where IP 192.168.1.100 must be substituted by your external IP address and "domain.com" by the name of the domain you've registered, like "example.com" or whatever.
The man page explains it fully @manpages.debian.org/stretch/hostname/hostname.1.en.html
DebianStable

Code: Select all

$ vrms

No non-free or contrib packages installed on debian! rms would be proud.
