installing game in debian

hello folks i just installed Duke Nukem 3d megaton in linux.
but i just cant seem to know how to run it.
ive tried :
exec start.sh \ ./start.sh
but with no luck this how the the content looks like .

data    dosboxDuke3D_client.conf  dosboxDuke3D_server.conf    start.sh
docs    dosboxDuke3D.conf         dosboxDuke3D_settings.conf  support
dosbox  dosboxDuke3D_editor.conf  dosboxDuke3D_single.conf
note: this game is a linux version which supposed to support linux natively

Any errors? Any instructions included in the folder (docs, support)? How many different things you tried to look for to troubleshoot this?

Verify that you have execution rights for the script. You can see the permissions with:

ls -l
You can add execution rights for script if needed with:

Code: Select all

chmod +x <filename>

NVM im moving to Arch.
debian its just yesterday news...

I'm sure that with your can-do attitude and extensive Linux knowlege, you'll be a big hit on the Arch forums! Think positive!

BTW, a game that requires DosBox to run is in no way a native Linux application. But you know that, and made sure that DosBox was installed and set up, right?
