Please i will backup vmdk, vmx, and so .. i try with Dump, but dump will break after the files will change sizes or date, so with this iam on wrong way.
Backup posibilities exist with open files and application like, DD ?, rsynch ?, or exist here any other possibilities to make CLI VSS Backups.

thanks for your post!, but if i understand rsync correct, this will copy the Data 1:1 from A->B but i think i need also
any oportunities to compress this files, than this files are "thin provisioned" and has a lot of air inside.
so for Example if my Image file has a size from 250Gb but only 20 % are used, rsync will copy the hole 250Gb.
its possible to do any compression like.
if i understand this correct, this are only any compression rate about the transfer.
or exist here any addidtional help with tar, gzip, to compress this to any possible image.
rsync -syntax sourcefiles destinationfile | tar -c | for exampe to gz or iso
