[Solved] Remove source and key

#1 Post by Lamios »

I tried to install Psychtoolbox-3 via NeuroDebian: http://neuro.debian.net/install_pkg.htm ... htoolbox-3
As stated there, I used the following commands for adding the source and the key:

Code: Select all

wget -O- http://neuro.debian.net/lists/stretch.de-md.libre | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/neurodebian.sources.list
sudo apt-key adv --recv-keys --keyserver hkp://pool.sks-keyservers.net:80 0xA5D32F012649A5A9
I think the source or key is maybe incomplete (it asked me for the configuration of a dpa server, but had not been stoppable than, when I cancelled it to try to find more informations in before).

Because I had several problems with the installation I ended up with installing Psychtoolbox-3 via the Debian package system. This actually worked.

However, now it seems there is something wrong with the source (this had been working in before, also with NeuroDebian):

Code: Select all

:~# aptitude update
Hit http://security.debian.org/debian-security stretch/updates InRelease
Ign http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch InRelease
Hit http://neurodebian.ovgu.de/debian data InRelease
Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch-updates InRelease
Hit http://neurodebian.ovgu.de/debian stretch InRelease
Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch Release
W: http://security.debian.org/debian-security/dists/stretch/updates/InRelease: The key(s) in the keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg are ignored as the file is not readable by user '_apt' executing apt-key.
W: http://neurodebian.ovgu.de/debian/dists/data/InRelease: The key(s) in the keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg are ignored as the file is not readable by user '_apt' executing apt-key.
W: http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/stretch-updates/InRelease: The key(s) in the keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg are ignored as the file is not readable by user '_apt' executing apt-key.
W: http://neurodebian.ovgu.de/debian/dists/stretch/InRelease: The key(s) in the keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg are ignored as the file is not readable by user '_apt' executing apt-key.
W: http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/stretch/Release.gpg: The key(s) in the keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg are ignored as the file is not readable by user '_apt' executing apt-key.
Because I installed Psychtoolbox-3 via the Debian packages, I do not need the source and the key anymore and I think it is best to delete them both (as they are making problems right now anyway).
apt-key list gives the following:

Code: Select all

Just to make sure that I am not doing something worse (like deleting the wrong key) because of unknowing:
I think the command to delete the key should be something like "apt-key del <keyname>" but I am not really sure whether it is correct and which part I have to add for the NeuroDebian key in the last line.
Can I simply delete the file 'sources.list.d/neurodebian.sources.list' in '/etc/apt/sources.list.d/neurodebian.sources.list' to remove NeuroDebian source?

Re: Remove source and key

#2 Post by Lamios »

0k, it is solved.
I moved /etc/apt/sources.list.d/neurodebian.sources.list to another place and deleted the NeuroDebian with apt-key del A5D32F012649A5A9 after making a backup from my keys.

The problems with the other keys

Code: Select all

:~# aptitude update
Hit http://security.debian.org/debian-security stretch/updates InRelease
Ign http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch InRelease
Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch-updates InRelease
Hit http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian stretch Release
W: http://security.debian.org/debian-security/dists/stretch/updates/InRelease: The key(s) in the keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg are ignored as the file is not readable by user '_apt' executing apt-key.
W: http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/stretch-updates/InRelease: The key(s) in the keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg are ignored as the file is not readable by user '_apt' executing apt-key.
W: http://ftp.de.debian.org/debian/dists/stretch/Release.gpg: The key(s) in the keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg are ignored as the file is not readable by user '_apt' executing apt-key.
had been solvable with mv /etc/apt/trusted.gpg ~/trusted.gpg from http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?t=130558
