(Solved) Audio not working Deb 9.4 KDE

After a considerable amount of time messing around in virtualbox, I recently set up a dual boot. The problem is, my Logitech G35 headphones are not working. (I have tried other headphones but they might not have been working themselves for unrelated reasons.) They do however work fine in my windows partition. I do not think they worked when I was using vbox either but I could be remembering wrong. I have reinstalled alsamixer as according to a guide but that did not work. The headphones are detected in alsamixer and have 00 beneath the bar.

This is a USB device so none of what you posted above is useful (and please use code tags).
Run lsusb in a terminal to see if the device is recognised.
Run Pulse Audio Volume Control which can select the device and set volume. Install pavucontrol if it's not there, I can't recall if it's installed by default.

Yeah that seemed to fix it, thanks, and sorry about the code tags I just added them. The device was detected. Only problem is the scroll bar on the side of the headset stopped working after I installed that. Is there any way to fix that?

Stooped working? I thought it wasn't working before. Apparently there's some Windows program to configure these. I don't own them so could only give generic advice. Try searching for "Linux Logitech G35 headphones".
