Somehow I really don't think you are running Debian at all. If you are, install inxi and report the output of "inxi -F" so we at least know something about what version you are running and on what hardware.

So...why are you here instead of the Ubuntu forums, then? Ubuntu is not Debian, just like you are not your father.

You also installed an old, no longer supported version of Ubuntu for some reason. And when you install on an unusual device like you did, please note that in your original post instead of making your helpers pry that information out of you.

thanks for reply stevepusser

I read somewhere saying ubuntu is debian based.
however i can run kali rolling too, but on kali forum they send me a warning saying i must search however I don't find my answer anywhere, and if i found, probably i don't understand it
I post where because i think all linux have the /dev file and probably the usage is the same, but i don't know how to use it.
If i don't know is good idea ask how does ;)

I just want to know what to do or how to search or something I must know to start.

Thanks

bringing kali into it, you made the situation worse instead of better.

but the worst is: your original question is so vague, there's just no answering it.

ho sorry, I have no idea!
I have here a cell phone stored from long time ( Its a Takee 1) And one day I wake up thinking in do something useful with it.
I don't know Android programming so i set up linux depoy to run linux on it, at least i'm more acquainted with linux.

Now I have evething set up and I end with a bunch of devices what i can not use.

To compare with windows, on this case you locate the driver on device manager, find the driver and kick it in but I have no idea how that is made on any linux.

My question is, how do i handle this or how someone knows how something about devices and linux

Sorry if my question isn't direct but is hard do direct questions when you dont know what are you talking about
thanks

yep.
i suggest you let it all settle, and come back when you have some real questions to ask.
personally i don't mind so much if it's android running an outdated ubuntu version, but unless you know what you actually want, or what your (technical) problem is, what can we do?
also please do try to form coherent sentences, and do some proofreading on what you wrote.
thanks.

Linux=the kernel, the core of your system that handles devices, has drivers built-in. Some of those drivers require firmware, sometimes non-free firmware. Firmware is not a driver, it's just code for a specific driver in the kernel. Without that code, the driver wouldn't work, or it would work poorly.

Most of what is called "Linux" in the world are just pre-bundled software, utilities and desktop environments wrapped around a Linux kernel. These are called "Linux distributions" or simply "distros".
This all was easy to find online, so you better search next time before asking. But I think you are a total newbie, so you should have a look at Ubuntu first:

Thanks for the help,
I go try do this with remote adb and take pictures and videos, gps stream and general control over devices through adb over ip instead of try access it from devices list

Well, I'm a sort of half-baked expert on a (very) few Android machines, notably Asus TFs. As a long-time user of Linux, I've experimented with Linux installations on Androids several times. I have never achieved, and indeed never read about, a useful Linux installation on any Android device. I suggest sticking with the OS designed for the hardware, to wit, Android; it works quite well. XDA developers is a good place to start looking for custom "ROM"s for any given Droid.

No offence here, but it's more like if somebody were to install Debian in dual-booting and asked windows questions. But really, the Ubuntu community is much bigger and there are way more Linux newbies with the same questions, so it would manage you to get the answer faster
