Unofficial repositories / flatpack

#1 Post by faziopesce »

Hi, I'm on debian stable stretch, I'd know if there are unofficial/official 3rdy part repository for 4 applications that I often use:
-Android studio
-Jdownloader
-Exodus cryptocurrency wallet
-FileBot file renamer
I'd install one or more trusted repository to install and then update these softwares. How Can I maintein these softwares updates without manually download them from respective official website and without maually install them? Is there a service that you suggest me like flatpak/snap (Does Debian support snap packages?) ?

Thank you!

Debian supports both Flatpak and Snap.

Android Studio, Jdownloader and Filebot are available by those means.

For Exodus Wallet you will probably have to go to the website >>> https://support.exodus.io/article/36-ho ... all-exodus

Flatpak is faster, more secure and it integrates better in most distros than snaps.

Jdownloader and Filebot probably have programs with equivalent function already in the Debian repositories.
