Hi
Using Linux Mint17 Cinammon.

Say on a 4 port hub I have plugged in to each a HID RFID reader. Each reader is for a different area/location. Reader Type M302, which places the tag number read into a open with focus spreadsheet. Works ok. But there is no identify as to which reader it came from.

Is it possible for Linux to add a reference or prefix (or suffix) to each tag read, an identify for the reader that passed the information. Something like the position in hub of the reader.

The prefix would be added before being passed to the spreadsheet.

Any ideas appreciated.
Thanks

Hello. This is a Debian user forum. Linux Mint is not Debian. Of course you can always ask for help on their forum.
OS: Debian 12.4 Bookworm / DE: Enlightenment
