[SOLVED! thank you]system messages at booting time

Postby oui » 2019-04-05 19:47

Hi,

After installation, depending how you did install, the system starts and, if no splash picture, send messages to the user.

Using a powerful pc (i7 / 8GB) those messages runs extremely fast from bottom to top of the screen and you can read about nothing...

Fortunately using a good installations iso nothing worse. All the messages seems to be ok and you can forget them.

But ...

... what is to do today in the rare cases it is not so, where red warnings appears, also much to fast to be readable?

Are shortcuts available to suspend the boot process and read and continue later?

I suppose, the documentation of Debian is often best, this boot phase is documented somewhere and the question would be: Where?
