The only other explanation I can think of is you are not very good with English, and what ever language is your native language is not getting translated correctly, in which case you should tell us, what is your native language ?

If that is your sources.list file , it should work, I don't know why you can not install any program in the "contrib" category, in fact to me that does not even make sense. Did you even try that example ?
