Old Stable

Hi,

I know old stable will be supported till Jan 2020 & LTS till 2022, how long should i keep it as a desktop system for basic everyday use.
Occasional Vbox use.

As long as it continues to receive security updates, and meets your needs, you can just keep on keepin' on if you want!

Note that the security updates are provided by the LTS team rather than the official Debian Security Team. I would always upgrade to the next release once the LTS phase is reached.
