[solved]Debian 10 Strawberry Media Player

#1 Post by Heliosstyx »

I am using Debian 10 Gnome 3.30 and I want to use the Strawberry Mediaplayer. Unfortunately Strawberry is not an offical package in Debian Stable. The only available package formats are snap and a .deb package on https://www.strawberrymusicplayer.org/. What is the most secure way to install this under Debian 10, snap or .deb format, without damaging Debian? Thank you.

Use the .deb package.

The MX 19 debs are also built on vanilla Buster pbuilders, so are fully compatible with Debian:

Thank you @stevepusser: Does it work with Debian stable without any issues? Can I do the same with deadbeef and where I can find it at MX-Test-Repo, because I have not found it? Would you please explain to me, how updates from the mentioned repository will work and how I can bind it to my sysystem. Thank you very much.
