Failed to raise network interfaces

Postby brandNewGuy » 2020-03-18 11:39

Hi guys,
I am a newbie to Debian and am getting an error on boot up - "Failed to raise network interfaces". It is a Virtual Machine on VirtualBox.

The error is as below.

networking.service - Raise network interfaces
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/networking.service; enabled; vendor preset: enab
Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Wed 2020-03-18 12:09:50 GMT; 3min 40s ago
Docs: man:interfaces(5)
Process: 437 ExecStart=/sbin/ifup -a --read-environment (code=exited, status=1/FAILUR
Main PID: 437 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)

Anyone able to help me with this?

You need to show the interfaces (google how if you don't know) or describe how you constructed them when making the vm
