Multiple IP's in etc/network/interfaces

Postby chadrt78 » 2020-03-19 21:49

Hello everyone,

So this is my first post here so I am a little hesitant as I usually can just figure this out on my own given enough tinkering. I have done this before and I have not had issues like this in the past.

Code: Select all
# The loopback network interface
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback

# THE PRIMARY NETWORK INTERFACE IS NOT WORKING
allow-hotplug eno1
iface eno1 inet static
address 10.1.10.201   # I have tried this expressed as x.x.x.x/24 as well with no luck
netmask 255.255.255.0

# THIS NETWORK BELOW IS FULLY FUNCTIONAL
allow-hotplug eno2
iface eno2 inet static
address 172.16.5.101
netmask 255.255.255.0
gateway 172.16.5.254

I have reversed the groups and swapped the cables then the problem is reversed. I have also tried placing the corresponding gateway on the not working one and commenting out the gateway on the working one then the issue reverses. This is an installation of Unifi Video by Ubiquiti and I need to be able to have access to the web interface on both networks. An identical setup at my home works flawlessly.

You just forgot to describe "the problem".
Like what you are trying to do, what you expect and what happens.
