Cmd line on startup

Postby DeformedGoat » 2020-06-06 04:51

I just installed Debian and once it installed it loaded into the cmd line with no interface. I looked into how to fix it and tried the solutions it showed and none of them worked. I am not on a VM or dual booting if this helps, Thanks

What Debian - version or name - did you installed and your hardware - MB and videocard?
Try enter command
Code: Select all
startx

and see /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

Please list all the things you have tried so that you don't waste our time when we suggest things that you have already confirmed not to work. Include the *exact* commands that you used so that we can spot any mistakes.

If the 'startx' command is used then the log will be stored at ~/.local/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log
