Accesability applet
I am using KDE with Debian Buster. Every time I start the system Accessibility applet is started. How to disable Accessibility applet from starting with the system?

Re: Accesability applet
You should be able to disable the startup in KDE's system settings. Try "session" or "startup" as search terms to make finding it easier.

Re: Accesability applet
What starts exactly? Is it just the plasmoid in the panel? You can remove plasmoids. Right click on panel, select Edit Panel, then hover over what you want to remove and a popup should appear with remove option.

Re: Accesability applet
Check ~/.config/autostart/ for any .desktop files that may be responsible.

Re: Accesability applet
It is application "kaccessibleapp", and its icon is part of the system tray. There is nothing in ~/.config/autostart, I don't know how it is started, that is the problem.sunrat wrote:What starts exactly? Is it just the plasmoid in the panel? You can remove plasmoids. Re: Accesability applet
That seems to rely on /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.kde.kaccessible.service so perhaps see https://askubuntu.com/questions/843076/ ... us-servicepythagorasmk wrote:It is application "kaccessibleapp"

Re: Accesability applet
Too be honest, I don't know anything about XML. I cannot understand how to block the execution of the org.kde.kaccessible.service.Head_on_a_Stick wrote:That seems to rely on /usr/share/dbus-1/services/org.kde.kaccessible.service so perhaps see https://askubuntu.com/questions/843076/ ... us-servicepythagorasmk wrote:It is application "kaccessibleapp"
For now I will manually close kaccessible app.
Thanks.

Re: Accesability applet
Did you try unchecking all the check boxes in System Settings > Accessibility?

Re: Accesability applet
This might be almost a necrobumb, but if you right click the space left of the clock on the systemtray, you find a lot of options, including hiding certaing icons.
