CRT to flat screen and back: configuration?

#1 Post by abrtlt »

I had a standard CRT 18" connected to my Debian Etch and I attempted connecting a flat screen LCD. However, my video card does not support the recommended resolution and I had to reconnect my old CRT. I still get a proper login screen, which however switches to two horizontal half screens with no accessible programs bar after login.
Is there a configuration file I can edit to switch back to my previous screen setupt?
Thanks!

Andrew

Note: this is a KDE configuration issue as I can still get a proper screen in Gnome
