PS:
The docu of my provider says my username is:
phone-number+@ alice-dsl.net
That is not true (aka plain wrong).
I only need to add:
phone-number
Took me a weekend to figure that out.

Try to find out if it might be something like that ( either google, provider-docu or try and error)

I am rather lousy with network, i only posted cause i used pppoeconf for about 1.5 years. Take care.

hai guys

The issue is fixed . The problem is in the kernel module and i installed the correct version from the vendor's website
http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/do ... =false#2[
i installed it according to the instructions and i probed with

Code: Select all

lsmod | grep r81*
r8168 83427 0
The r8168 should be the kernel module for the driver
Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168B PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet controller (rev 02)
also i added my access concentrator name and the service provider name to the pppoe.conf file and it works fine.Thank you very much guys.
