Asus K53E laptop cannot go into suspend mode in 6.0.3

Hi all,

I recently purchased a K53E, i3 2310m processor but after installing debian into it I cannot put it into suspend mode through gnome.

The log file shows "performing suspend" as the last event but my computer just hangs and the cpu and fan were running quitely intensely, as if it was stuck in a loop.

However the screen was completely turned off and it was not black.

Does anyone have solutions to this problem?

This works on my asus k42J:

create /etc/pm/sleep.d/20_custom-ehci_hcd thusly:

BUSES="0000:00:1a.0 0000:00:1d.0"

case "${1}" in
hibernate|suspend)
for bus in $BUSES; do
echo -n $bus | tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd/unbind
done
;;
resume|thaw)
for bus in $BUSES; do
echo -n $bus | tee /sys/bus/pci/drivers/ehci_hcd/bind
done
;;
esac

& make it executable

Sorry Duke, another problem.

I just got some time to test out the computer. Suspend works fine but video would not resume.

I tried to move 99video out of the way as mentioned in viewtopic.php?f=5&t=59618 but still no display after resume

My laptop uses the built in i3 intel hd graphics 3000

Update: Got intel driver 2.16.0-1 from testing branch but still no screen after =resume from suspend
