missing initrd

Im trying duel boot fedora C4 and debian 3.0woody r4 using instructions from - http://enterprise.linux.com/enterprise/ ... 129&tid=47 i managed to mount my debian hard drive (hdb) but i can't find one of the three files the instructions tell me to copy (initrd) to the hda's (fedora) boot directory, does anyone have any idea's/answers? thanks

Depending upon how the kernel was built, it may or may not need an initial ram disk file. The kernel you are using maybe dosen't use an initrd file?
Does it work without it?

ok i created a initrd.img file using these instructions http://www.edseek.com/archives/2004/03/ ... -gnulinux/ now i can boot debian through grub, thank you for your interest dawgie.
