High CPU load from Hypervisor callback interrupts

#1 Post by Cultti »

Hi,

I'm trying to find solution for my problem. The server is running Debain 8 with all the latest updates on 2012 R2 Hyper-V host with 4 CPU and 1024MB memory.

I noticed that ksoftirqd process is taking about 5%-10% of system CPU and load is high for 'idling' (load average: 0.27, 0.48, 0.53). When looking into /proc/interupts I noticed that I receive 30 interrupts per second from Hypervisor callback interrupts. Does anyone know why this is happening? I'm also running Debian 7 on other similar Hyper-V host but there is no problem.

Any help would be much appreciated.
