Getting the latest Libre Office in Debian
Getting the latest Libre Office in Debian
Of course they "freeze" all of the applications at a certain version when they release an official iteration of Debian. So, if I want to be use very latest Libre Office with Debian, can I just install it or will it interfere with the version that gets installed by default? Can I neatly remove the default version and just install the direct upgrade from the Libre Office site? Or is it more complicated than that?

Re: Getting the latest Libre Office in Debian
The Libreoffice from the vendors site installs into /opt, uses a link to /usr/binlibreofficeX. This way Apache OO & Libreoffice and possibly LO from Debians packaging can coexist.
