NTP "debian" servers don't work

#1 Post by stevesr0 »

I am still running Wheezy and recently got tired of my computer not displaying the daylight savings time.

So I looked at my ntp setup and eventually realized that having pool time servers with debian in their name (us.debian.pool.ntp.org) don't work. I was getting a "No association ID's returned" response.

After deleting "debian" from the server names, all works fine (and the time changed!).

I am submitting this because I haven't seen any comment about this as a problem, and the debian servers were (as I recall) configured automatically when the ntp program was installed.

Hope that helps somebody.
