auto resume after suspend2disk(hibernate) if plug in usbhub

#1 Post by andyjackson »

My notebook is thinkpad w500, debian jessie. If i plug in usb mouse/keybord/udisk etc. to notebook's usb port, hibernate/resume is fine, poweroff as it should be. But if i plugin a 4 ports usbhub to notebook which plugin usb device, poweroff after hibernate just success once, next hibernate system do not poweroff and auto resume. If i replug in all of device from the usbhub, system poweroff after hiberate, still just success once, next time hibernate will auto resume without poweroff.

I temporary resolve this problem by add custom script called by systemd, the custom script unload moudle ehci_pci/ehci_hcd before kernel do s2disk and load module ehci_pci after kernel resume image. Now system power off/on as it should be.

I think it's a bug, kernel or udev or systemd or somewhere else should auto take care it not by end user, does it?
