Jessie BIND9 not working

#1 Post by DHLao »

I know the settings of BIND9 in Jessie is different to the previous debian version. And I follow the guide at https://wiki.debian.org/Bind9

But I keep getting connection timed out no servers could be reached when run dig and nslookup.

The only success is ping the server's FQDN from client side. All other A records failed to ping. Weird. :?

My lab is a very simple one
1. server is Jessie with BIND9 installed. Nothing more (no firewall, web server, blah blah blah)
2. client is windows 10
3. both server and client are guest machine in VMware. Connected by Host-only (private) network.
