blacklist microcode??

#1 Post by bester69 »

Hi,

I've blackisted intel microcode :

Code: Select all

NoesNo@hall:/etc/modprobe.d$ cat intel-microcode-blacklist.conf
# The microcode module attempts to apply a microcode update when
# it autoloads. This is not always safe, so we block it by default.
blacklist microcode
I dont understand very well, do is it mean intel-microcode is not active if its blacklisted??

Shoud i comment that line?

Thanks,

No.

I do not claim to understand this but that file is part of the intel-microcode package and so should be left as it is.
