Problem with /scripts/local-block

#1 Post by dezerb »

Hi, I have recently problem with /scripts/local-block during the boot. This are executed more times about 15-20 per boot and slow down the boot up of system.
there is no message i dmes or journalctl
only this message during the boot

Code: Select all

Begin: Running /scripts/local-block ... done.
What could be the reason of this issue?

Check the scripts in these folders:
/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-bottom
/etc/initramfs-tools/scripts/local-bottom/

In my case, it's a script responsible for ntfs-3g volumes. Use this as a hint for further investigation.

Is it local-block or local-bottom? Recently I've encountered a similar problem of repetitive "local-block", and it turned out to be a modified swap partition UUID which need to be updated in /etc/initramfs-tools/conf.d/resume.

Hi it should be of course "local-block", I edited the post.

Your solution was correct. So far I haven't use any swap partition but now I created the new one, edited the conf.d/resume file with new UUID and updated initramfs and now all works fine.
Thank you very much
