Squid proxy configuration

#1 Post by MarcelSchmitt »

I'm trying to setup a browser proxy with squid3. I got squid working and connection as well as TCP test was successfull.
But when I use the server as proxy in i.e. Firefox the browser displays a page generated by squid which says "Connection to [unknown] failed" and the system returned 110 Connection timed out.
My first idea was that the firewall blocks the proxy and I used that shell script to disable the firewall: https://bash.cyberciti.biz/security/she ... -firewall/
Didn't change anything :(
Any suggestions?
