Wifi error with modual r8723bs

Hi, on installing Linux for the first time (on my Lenovo Idea pad 100s) I've had a wifi error. It seems to be trouble with installing the firmware.
hears some info.
Any help much appreciated.

this error message results

modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'r8723bs' : Exec format error

The driver will not load without firmware. Debian does not put "non-free" firmware on the default installation images but it is available in the package firmware-realtek.

Option 1 is to install following these instructions.

Option 2 is to use unofficial installation images that include non-free firmware.

Debian has extensive documentation and there are multiple ways to setup your wireless. Web search using the terms "debian + wifi"
