Not exactly Powerdown

After a lot of trouble and work I finally managed to obtain a dual boot configuration (Debian 9.1 and Windows 10) on an Acer Aspire ES1-533 laptop. HOORAY! By the way, the trouble was caused by a very rudimentary UEFI - to put it politely, but that is a different story.

Everything works fine, except: when I power down the laptop then processes and devices are cleanly shut down until I get the last messages:

Looks good. BUT:
  • 1. The power led is still on.
    2. The display is still on.
    3. Sometimes a fan is still on.
So every time I have to use a hard poweroff i.e., pressing the power-off-button for some seconds. Using different commands (shutdown -h now, systemctl poweroff, using the gnome poweroff button, etc.) does not help. Starting Debian with acpi=off does not help, so I guess it's not an ACPI problem.
Any ideas?

Have you tried to boot with acpi=noirq [1]? What other parameters do you use to boot? Does

work? Can you please post /var/log/messages of one session?

Thank you for the link! However, I never observed display flickering etc. similar to what the OP of that link described.

Normally, I boot the linux image with parameter ro only. I tried acpi=noirq but that causes a non-functional touchpad. When I continue with an USB mouse and then power down the laptop it is still not fully poweroff (see points 1-3 in my list).

systemctl -f poweroff
gives less messages but ends up the same.

EDIT: Surprise, surprise! Recenty a strange change in the laptop behavior! I really don't know where it stems from (maybe a major Windows Update? After all, it's a dual boot system) but now the end messages differ from my previous post. Now it says:
