Your terminal output states:
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
So post sources.list
$ cat /etc/apt/sources.list
please.
Try doing it with aptitude.
DebianStable

Code: Select all

$ vrms

No non-free or contrib packages installed on debian! rms would be proud.

Your sources.list is fine but all that is needed is to add the jessie-backports repository.
See wiki.debian.org/Backports, update and then use aptitude, not apt, to install the package.

If that doesn't work, try mine which does:

Code: Select all

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian jessie-backports main
DebianStable

Code: Select all

$ vrms

Not work ! and change your mirror

deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian jessie-backports main

sudo aptitude install python-certbot-apache

The following NEW packages will be installed:
augeas-lenses{a} certbot{a} libaugeas0{a} libpython2.7{a} python-acme{ab}
python-augeas{a} python-certbot{ab} python-certbot-apache
python-chardet{a} python-configargparse{a} python-configobj{a}
python-mock{a} python-ndg-httpsclient{a} python-parsedatetime{a}
python-requests{a} python-rfc3339{a} python-support{a} python-tz{a}
python-urllib3{a} python-zope.component{a} python-zope.event{a}
python-zope.interface{a}
The following packages are RECOMMENDED but will NOT be installed:
python-dnspython python-pyasn1 python-pyicu
0 packages upgraded, 22 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 2,459 kB of archives. After unpacking 10.2 MB will be used.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
python-acme : Depends: python-openssl (>= 0.15) but 0.14-1 is installed.
Depends: python-cryptography (>= 0.8) but 0.6.1-1+deb8u1 is installed.
Depends: python-setuptools (>= 11.3~) but 5.5.1-1 is installed.
python-certbot : Depends: python-cryptography (>= 0.7) but 0.6.1-1+deb8u1 is installed.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:

Keep the following packages at their current version:
1) certbot [Not Installed]
2) python-acme [Not Installed]
3) python-certbot [Not Installed]
4) python-certbot-apache [Not Installed]

Because this time you didn't add
-t jessie-backports
The dependent packages must come from jessie-backports too.
aptitude -t jessie-backports install python-certbot-apache

That's good. Solved. I had the same issue some time back. The mirror was OK. The key was to use aptitude, not apt.
