rebuild kernel question

Postby jalisco » 2017-11-10 19:10

I recently upgraded my kernel to 4.9.0-4-amd64.

Unfortunately, it broke my NIC(realtek 8111c).

I tried to upgrade the firmware for it, but I was having issues with "unloading/having to remove" the older driver, but was unable to do that.

I just want back to 4.9.0-3-amd64, and everything worked fine again.

My question is:

How should I proceed to update the driver, and use the newer Linux image??

You need to go into much more detail about this part. It's not making any sense to me right now.
The MX Linux repositories: Backports galore! If we don't have something, just ask and we'll try--we like challenges. New packages: Krita 3.3.2.1, Pale Moon 27.6.0, Audacity 2.2.0, mpv 0.27.0, Corebird 1.7.1, Firefox 57.0, SMPlayer 17.11.2
