TouchScreen can't close windows on Debian Jessie

Postby Ingefox » 2018-01-03 02:51

Hi all,

I've got a problem with Debian Jessie (8.3 under XFCE) and can't use any one else.
Touch screen works almost correctly ( cursor fallows finger, select new window when click on it ) but can't access to windows icons placed on menu bar (on right top: open, minimize maximize etc...)

I recompiled hid_multitouch drivers with last version of jessie and issue is not resolved.

This is some information about the touchscreen device:
Code: Select all
lsusb:
Bus 003 Device 004: ID 0c45:8420 Microdia

dmesg on connexion
plug:

unplug:
Jan  2 21:00:44 superviseur kernel: [  340.900140] usb 3-2: USB disconnect, device number 3

If somebody have an idea and can help it should be really appreciate.

Another 2 things occured me:
Touch calibration - Can be that only that part of the screen is not being recognized, so maybe a calibration can solve it

Or

Touch do not work at all at that point, it can be damaged.

In both cases you sould be able to click the close button by moving the windows a little down. If cannot, than is another type of software issue.

Hi Captain_Jack,

Thanks for your quick response and sorry for mine really late.

Original problem is that top right cross can be access by touchscreen but doesn't work when we touch it.

I installed Florence keyboard and xserver-xorg-input-multitouch package.
But unfortunately, problem still exists.

A question: does the multitouch driver is used by default or does something as to be done to use it ?

I used twofing driver, downloadable here http://plippo.de/p/twofing

Simple and funny.

That's very nice! This is what linux is about, I didn't knew which driver was, but knew it could be a lack of driver or hardware issue. Please, take a time to edit the first message title and add [SOLVED] to the beginning of it, so others can benefit from your solution.
