change mirror site for my debian

i am unable to update my debian for latest updates. whenever i run the command apt-get update i get

i think i have issues with the alloted mirror site to my debian. please suggest me the way out for how to change the mirror site or correct me if i am wrong and point me in the right direction.

the issue is im not able to ping to any other site like when i ping to google.com i get
ping google.com
ping: unknown host google.com

i am not able to get where is the problem. please do point me in the right direction.

It appears you are not connected to the internet.
