rc-local.service is executable

#1 Post by maxky »

My syslog says something like
Nov 30 05:02:02 xxx systemd[1]: Configuration file /etc/systemd/system/rc-local.service is marked executable. Please remove executable permission bits. Proceeding anyway.
whenever systemd reloads. rc-local.service is indeed executable. But I didn't touch it manually. Now I can only figure two possibilities:
1. my system is compromised in some way
2. the systemd setup is flawed

Number 1. seem unlikely as a cause, since afaics, rc-local.service does nothing, as long as /etc/local doesn't exist.

What's going on here?
Should I file a bug report against package systemd?

P.S.: I'm running debian stretch (plus some packages from debian.tryton.org)

I think you need to clarify this more:
(plus some packages from debian.tryton.org)
Like specifically which packages, "some" is really rather vague.

I havn't been aware, that i have also packages from stretch-backports .

Here is a complete list:
from stretch-backports/main: certbot python-certbot-nginx python3-acme python3-certbot python3-certbot-nginx python3-josepy python3-parsedatetime
from debian.tryton.org/debian stretch-4.6/main: python3-cached-property python3-magic python3-relatorio python3-simpleeval python3-sql python3-zeep tryton-server tryton-proteus tryton-modules-all tryton-modules-*

Hereby tryton-modules-* is a bunch of tryton modules installed by tryton-modules-all.

Everything else is from debian stretch main or from debian-security stretch/updates main
