Client cannot connect to nfs server

Postby simon_lefisch » 2019-08-15 01:26

Hello everyone,

First time poster on here, as I have always been able to find my solutions online until now. So I figured why not try the Debian forums to see if someone can help me out.

I am running a Debian 9 NFS server as a KVM. It has Samba as well but that only there til I can figure out this nfs issue. I have setup my shares and connect to them just fine. However when I activate ufw I am no longer able to connect. I’ve gone thru and added NFS service to ufw but get nothing. Tried opening ports 111 and 2049 tcp/udp and still nothing. Not sure what I’m doing wrong or what is configured incorrectly so I’m hoping someone on here can chime and point me in the right direction. Any help/suggestions would be very much appreciated.

It is quite old answer, but I think, that it should be analogous (except there was init and you have already probably systemd).
