Could you say what desktop environment are you using? Are you connected to anything with it?

Well I have no idea what could that be at all. Just to try journalctl, if it gives any help. Can you run
Code: Select all
journalctl -p4 -u NetworkManager

And post what it gives you?

Just to ask, are you connected over wifi or with ethernet? And that message from networkmanager is harmless. You could 'fix' it by commenting out

Code: Select all
source /etc/network/interfaces.d/*

into
Code: Select all
#source /etc/network/interfaces.d/*

In /etc/network/interfaces file. But that would just get rid of that message, no clue as to what could cause your original problem, I am not familiar with mate.

Thank you.
I did it:
Code: Select all
# This file describes the network interfaces available on your system
# and how to activate them. For more information, see interfaces(5).

#source /etc/network/interfaces.d/*

# The loopback network interface
auto enp3s0
iface enp3s0 inet dhcp

And restarted the networking service:
Code: Select all
$ sudo systemctl restart networking.service

But problem exist!
