Upon logging in to KDE plasma, I find a notification that 'the system needs to be restarted for the updates to take effect', even when I'm logging in from a reboot.
On further analysis, I get this output from "fwupdmgr get-devices":
I don't know what the require-ac flag means, or why the needs-reboot flag isn't being cleared on reboot, so any insight into why this is happening would be highly appreciated.
Those flags mean, AFAIK, that for an update the device requires external power and a reboot after the installation. I don't think those flags have anything to do with the current state. KDE seems to have configuration issues IME. I had to give it up in favor of something reliable and stable (Xfce, cough cough).
...Okay, I guess that means that I still don't know what's going on. Thank you for your help. If nothing else, this does tell me that I was on the wrong track.
I have tried periodically to install this update on my Debian system. After a recent attempt to install this update the following message was presented:
Unable to update Unifying as download failed:

I used my cell phone camera to take a photo of error message and then I manually copIed the data to a text file.
Hopefully someone else will know what to do next.

Please start a new topic with your issue. As it doesn't even seem to be directly Debian related, Off-Topic would be the appropriate subforum.
