phantomjs issue in debian 10

Postby maxbre » 2021-01-03 16:31

my configuration system:
Code: Select all
uname -a
Linux max-debian 4.19.0-13-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.19.160-2 (2020-11-28) x86_64 GNU/Linux

my installed version, from official repository:
Code: Select all
phantomjs --version
2.1.1

the reproducible issue:
Code: Select all
phantomjs hello.js
Hello, world!
TypeError: Attempting to change the setter of an unconfigurable property.
TypeError: Attempting to change the setter of an unconfigurable property.

where the hello.js file content is very simply:
Code: Select all
console.log('Hello, world!');
phantom.exit();

here one of the many references on the web about this issue:
https://github.com/ariya/phantomjs/issues/15360

and all about started from this specific issue within an R package (mapview), but unfortunately the solution here proposed did not work for myself:
https://github.com/r-spatial/mapview/issues/249

did someone else bumped into this annoying issue and how eventually overcame it?

I need that fully functional R package and in particular the use of the function mapshot() which is failing in my system
https://www.rdocumentation.org/packages ... cs/mapshot

the weird thing is that in debian 9 is apparently working fine

thanks
