It worked before the upgrade?
That driver hasn't been mainlined AFAICT: https://github.com/aircrack-ng/rtl8812au
Install it with DKMS to rebuild the driver automatically when the kernel is updated.

1: Yes it did work before the upgrade.
2: I did already try "everything" (the installs script, dkms instal) with the "crack" suggested. It cannot get it to work under 5.10
Anyone else knows a solution ?

So why didn't you state that in the OP? Are you trying to waste our time?rln wrote:I did already try "everything" (the installs script, dkms instal) with the "crack" suggested
You should post *exactly* what you have tried. Are the headers for that kernel version installed? Does the module build successfully for the new kernel version?rln wrote:It cannot get it to work under 5.10

Whoaaa, hold the horse. There is no reason to be rude.
I do not know beforehand which info is relevant, and of couse I shall add what's needed.
I write to ask for help:
I installed it with the previous kernel, ok.
After an upgrade of kernel, header and all:
I have compiled the driver, ok.
I have installed it, ok.
I see the device with lsusb, ok.
It simply doesn't work, and I don't know what to look for.
So pls try to help instead.

Re: Anyone knows a Debian Bullseye driver 2357:011e kernel
Some (somewhat) good news.
I tried to use my RTL USB WiFi.
It's an RTL8192CU.
It did, as a start turn on "the light" - but no connection.
Then I tried to activate the SSID broadcast, and now it works.
I then turned the SSID broadcast off again, and it stille worked.
After reboot I had to do the maneuvre again SSID broadcast turned on - connect ok - SSID broadcast off - still connection OK.
Does this help ?
I still cannot get mu Archer T2U to work.

Supplemental info.
For whatever reason, the RTL USB (0bda:8176) now works after boot without having to activate/deactivate SSID broadcast,
OK
But there is still no success trying to use the Archer T2U.
For clearance: I did NOT translate and/or install and/or dkms ANY driver for this/these.
I just utilised what the kernel offered.
