dmesg full of eth1 debug information?

#1 Post by Terje »

When I run dmesg when my pc is on for a while, the original dmsg information is gone and it's full of things like this:
Inbound IN=eth1 OUT= MAC=00:0f:ea:09:d6:1a:00:30:b8:c2:f5:21:08:00 SRC=86.132.56.10 DST=81.82.33.13 LEN=48 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=112 ID=51893 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=2461 DPT=6881 WINDOW=16384 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0
Inbound IN=eth1 OUT= MAC=00:0f:ea:09:d6:1a:00:30:b8:c2:f5:21:08:00 SRC=86.132.56.10 DST=81.82.33.13 LEN=48 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=112 ID=51974 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=2461 DPT=6881 WINDOW=16384 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0
Inbound IN=eth1 OUT= MAC=00:0f:ea:09:d6:1a:00:30:b8:c2:f5:21:08:00 SRC=86.132.56.10 DST=81.82.33.13 LEN=48 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=112 ID=52156 DF PROTO=TCP SPT=2461 DPT=6881 WINDOW=16384 RES=0x00 SYN URGP=0
Inbound IN=eth1 OUT= MAC=00:0f:ea:09:d6:1a:00:30:b8:c2:f5:21:08:00 SRC=221.211.255.10 DST=81.82.33.13 LEN=478 TOS=0x00 PREC=0x00 TTL=44 ID=0 DF PROTO=UDP SPT=32818 DPT=1027 LEN=458
I'm guessing it's some sort of debug info or something I switched on in the past, but it's really getting annoying when I use dmsg to debug other stuff. Does anyone know how to disable this?

Tnx.

This is your firewall reporting traffic activity to you. How you suppress or re-route these messages depends on what software you are using to manage your firewall.
