Wireless troubles

#1 Post by simick »

Hey everyone,

I'm having a bit of trouble trying to get my Belkin F5D7000uk wireless PCI card to work under Sarge with KDE. I'm using NDISwrapper along with the Windows 2000 drivers (RT2500.inf) suggested by http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/medi ... php/List#B (the PCI ID of the card is 1814:0201).

I've finally managed to actually get it all working but now, once I bring the interface up, the system goes into a bit of a go slow. Strange thing is that it's not everything - only certain aspects of the system. The main one is the opening of a file browsing window, opening files or downloading files - basically, anything that involves a file browser.

I'm pretty new to Linux in general and have only had Sarge installed for a week now so I'm still getting used to it all and I'm finding this pretty frustrating! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Simon Gaulter.

Go to http://ndiswrapper.sourceforge.net/ and look at the Downloads section. You will see that there is now a Debian package for ndiswrapper.
