getting soundblaster Audigy to work

#1 Post by phuqmnb »

I am coming over from Gentoo and I have a few questions. First, is there another way to load my soundblaster Audigy besides recompiling? Second, I understand that it is probably for stability reasons, but I was running 2.6.12 kernel version on before switching to Debian from Gentoo and now I can only get 2.4.27-2-386?

apt-cache search kernel-image # If you're on sarge
apt-cache search linux-image # If you're on etch/sid
There's also a nice gui you might want to look into called synaptics.
