If it's not one...

#1 Post by impleri »

i'm having a problem post-installation.
First, i am dual-booting my system between Debian Sarge and WinXP Pro. No problem there or with GRUB.
i first installed the 2.4 kernel as it is the default. Everything worked except my Motorola WPCI810G WiFi PCI card. i found on the forums here someone with that problem and the solution was to go to the 2.6 kernel.
So i did. Now, my problem is that my mouse (M$ Tracball Optical USB) is not recognized in 2.6 (for some reason). Because of this, GDM/KDM won't initialise.
All i want is to work in KDE with my WLAN card working (as i connect through a 802.11g network with WPA-PSK).
Any suggestions other than get a new XXX?
