chroot 32bit on 64bit install of sarge

#1 Post by Guest »

I want to run 32bit software on my amd 64bit machine whithout the clashing 32 and 64bit dependencies. It's really annoying that I cant use certain packages just because i dont have the 32bit version of a particular package. More often than not I have to reinstall loads of packages (32bit version) just because of this clash.

Hi, I run an amd64 debian system and the only programs I have to run in a 32bit chroot are openoffice and mozilla (when i want to see a site that does flash).

This site tells you exactly how to do it so that it is as transparent as possible. https://alioth.debian.org/docman/view.p ... howto.html

Best of luck.

Andrew
