[IPW2100] cannot connect to network

I'm trying to get my intel 2100 wifi card at work.
I have installed the IPW 2100 drivers , wireless tools, the firmware and all that.

After some configuration, I am able to receive an IP via DHCP and connect to my access point.

The point is I cannot get any traffic. Momentarily I do not have a clue how to move on, please help.
