Oidentd

#1 Post by Calle »

Hi!

I have a problem getting oidentd to work. I have installed it by using

Code: Select all

apt-get install oidentd
. Everything goes well within the installation, and I get no errors when starting oidentd, but when I logon to IRC, the machine seeming not to respond to ident requests.

The computer has a local LAN IP on a router that uses NAT, and the router has 1 public IP. Of course, I _do have_ forwarded TCP 113 to the correct computer, so this is not the problem.

Thanks for any answers.
