Socklist

#1 Post by brwiese »

When I had slackware installed there was a command "socklist" that gave you what services were running on what ports (such as cups, x, etc.). This is part of procinfo which I cannot find in debian. There is netstat, but the output means very little to me. For instance, I have cups running and I would like to be able to see that it is running. Is there a way to do this with netstat, or get socklist, or some other program that can do this?

Try the netstat command.
